Terms of use

Bookings, payments, cancellations and allergens.

1. Identification

This website is owned by Guillermo Palop Navarro, tax ID 51140428c, registered at paseo serra de espada, 5. Contact: info@paellaxcasa.com · +34 614 647 086.

2. Purpose

These terms govern the booking of our paella cooked at your home services, workshops and events, as well as the use of the online shop. By making a booking you accept these terms in full.

3. The service

  • A chef travels to the location you specify and cooks the paella live. The service includes the chef, live cooking, setup, clean-up and travel within a 50 km radius of Valencia.
  • Each pack includes one paella, cooked in a pan sized for the group and intended to be shared. Additional varieties are billed separately as extras.
  • Travel between 50 and 100 km carries a supplement; beyond 100 km, please ask us.
  • You must guarantee access to the event location and a usable cooking point (induction, ceramic or gas), as agreed at the time of booking.

4. Bookings, prices and payment

  • Bookings are requested through the form on this site. We confirm availability within 24 hours.
  • Once the booking is agreed, a 50% deposit is paid to hold the date. The remaining 50% is paid on the day of the event, once the service is finished.
  • All prices are shown in euros and include VAT. The final amount is confirmed in the cart before payment.
  • Groups of more than 20 guests are quoted individually and cannot be booked directly through the shop.
  • Accepted payment methods: PayPal, Bizum, card and SEPA transfer.

5. Cancellations and changes

  • You may cancel free of charge up to 14 calendar days before the booked date; we refund the deposit in full.
  • Between 14 and 7 days before, 50% of the deposit is retained to cover ingredient purchase and the reserved slot.
  • With less than 7 days’ notice, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Date changes are subject to availability and must be requested at least 7 days in advance.
  • If we cancel for a reason attributable to us, we refund 100% of what you have paid.

6. Right of withdrawal

Under article 103(l) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, there is no right of withdrawal for contracts covering catering services or leisure activities supplied on a specific date. The cancellation terms in the previous section apply instead.

7. Allergens and food safety

You must inform us of any allergy or intolerance when making the booking. Our dishes may contain, or have been in contact with, gluten, egg, shellfish, fish and molluscs. We cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces in a shared kitchen environment.

8. Online shop

The shop runs on WooCommerce. The products you see in the cart (the pack’s “base fee” and any additional paellas) are automatically combined into a single booking package. Removing any of those lines removes the whole package, as they have no meaning on their own.

9. Bookings and availability

Calendar availability is managed with the Amelia booking plugin. Confirmation of a time slot is not final until we receive the deposit; until then the date may still be offered to other customers.

10. User accounts

You can create an account to follow up on your requests. It requires email confirmation via a code (double opt-in). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

11. Intellectual property

The text, photographs and visual identity of this site belong to Guillermo Palop Navarro. Icons come from the Tabler Icons (MIT licence), IcoFont (CC BY 4.0 licence) and unDraw (free licence) collections, and the Permanent Marker typeface is used under the Apache 2.0 licence. All are served from our own server in line with their terms.

12. Liability

We are liable for the correct delivery of the service booked. We are not liable for damage arising from improper use of the customer’s premises, from lack of access, or from supplies unavailable at the event location.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of the consumer’s place of residence. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
